Flat tappet cams stock have a base circle of 1.385”

If you have a stock block and want to use our  street lifter 5884 there are item to check:

1. Lifter bore dia not to exceed .8440 ith not more than .0002” taper.
2. The smallest base circle cam for the hydraulics is 1.180” with .360” cam lift
3. Solid roller base circle can go down to 1.100 to get to a .700” lift with 1.65 rocker ratio.
4. With a hydraulic with 1.1800 base circle you will be required to grind the oil hole outlet

In the bore tipped down .150” down towards the bottom of the engine. This will allow the oil

hole in the block to match oil feed hole in the lifter. This is important because the hydraulic is

refilled when it is on the base circle. If it cannot get oil while on the base circle the lifter will not work properly.

1. The other option to put in a bushing sleeve . We have worked with CHE Precision (800-499-8885) for the correct

       bushing  PN 1002-842-165f for prober oiling and lifter to bore clearance.
